The Baha’i Faith

The Baha’i Faith, founded by Bahá’u’lláh in 1863,  is an independent world religion.   Baha’is live in virtually every country around the world and local Baha’i communities are found around Australia.

Baha’u’llah taught that there is one God and that,  from time to time, God sends great divine teachers who renew religion and reinvigorate society. All people, he said, derive their inspiration from the same heavenly source.

He stated that the central need of our time is oneness.  The central purpose of Bahá’u’lláh’s teachings is to unite all humanity as one human family.

More information about the Baha’i Faith can be found at the website of the Australian Baha’i Community and the official site of the worldwide Baha’i community.

Blessed and happy is he that ariseth to promote the best interests of the peoples and kindreds of the world. …  The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens. – Baha’u’llah
